I understand (or perhaps misunderstand, for that matter) this is a plant. Do you have an english common name or latin scientific name I can reference? I have had a great interest in our relationship to plants for many years.

The sentence means. You can reach silence by listening to your self. Listening is -eschuchado.-
How do you go about in your study of plants? a spiritual or scientific method.

Each description has many connotations, though some would say that there are other frameworks in which the lines become very fuzzy. However to be fair I would say scientific as a knowledge base and spiritual in practice. For example my relationship with lemon balm; it was revealed to me in dreaming both in physical location as well as its ability to 'help' with a situation, and I engage my awareness with it during preparation and administering. However I approached that relationship understanding its historical application as well as the functions it performs upon human physiology. There is strategic value in both perspectives.
Sometimes a plant will demonstrate other characteristics to you if you have a well developed relationship. I would not know how to scientifically validate the application of white sage as a barrier.
